• Contractor account registration: first and last name, company name, company address, company website (optional), email address, username, and password.
• Contractor onboarding: selected plan, territory selections, and notification preferences.
• Contact form submissions: name, email, phone (optional), topic, and message content.
• Job and claim data: service type, property address, job value, job status, insurance claim amounts, and claim status — submitted by contractors.

Information collected automatically

• Browser type, operating system, and device type
• Pages visited and time on site
• Referring URL and search terms (if any)
• IP address (anonymized after 90 days)
• Email open and click events (for automated follow-up sequences)

2. How We Use Your Information

• Route homeowner lead requests to the appropriate contracted roofing professional in the homeowner's territory

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:

• Lead routing: When a homeowner submits a request, we share their contact info and property address with the matched contractor in their ZIP code. This is the core of our service.
• Service providers: We use third-party services for email delivery (SendGrid), payment processing (Stripe), and website hosting. These providers are contractually limited to using your data only to provide services to us.
• Legal compliance: We will disclose information if required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other valid legal process, or if we have a good-faith belief that disclosure is necessary to prevent illegal activity or protect the safety of others.
• Business transfers: If RoofOps is acquired or merged, user data may transfer to the acquiring entity under the same privacy protections described here.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide services you have requested. Contractor accounts are retained for 2 years after account closure. Homeowner lead data is retained for 3 years. Job and claim records are retained for 7 years per industry standard for insurance documentation. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 5).

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements).
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
